Once upon a post, I attempted to come up with some questions to test one's level of comfort with postmodernity. Today I stumbled across a similar, but much broader, attempt. Emergent/Postmodern Evangelical Holiness/Wesleyan Fundamentalist Reformed Evangelical Neo orthodox Charismatic/Pentecostal Classical Liberal Roman Catholic Modern Liberal
This quiz attempts to find your "theological worldview". As with any such quiz, many of the questions are subject to interpretation. But they allow you to scale your answers along five points, so there's some wiggle room in there.
I'd encourage you to click the link and take the test yourself - it doesn't take long. Report back on your findings, if you like.
As for mine...
Here are my official results:You scored as Emergent/Postmodern, You are Emergent/Postmodern in your theology. You feel alienated from older forms of church, you don't think they connect to modern culture very well. No one knows the whole truth about God, and we have much to learn from each other, and so learning takes place in dialogue. Evangelism should take place in relationships rather than through crusades and altar-calls. People are interested in spirituality and want to ask questions, so the church should help them to do this. 79% 71% 71% 54% 50% 39% 18% 11% 0%

Note that the actual answer page had a picture of Brian McLaren on it ... I felt compelled to remove it.
Also of interest to me: I'm nearly as much "Fundamentalist" as I am "Emergent/Postmodern". I know many don't see how the two can co-exist, but trust me - at least in my own life, they do.

So here were my results. Some of the questions were a bit hard to answer on the given scale of agree/disagree, but it was a neat little survey none the less. Apparently I’ve got a bit of Roman Catholic and Pentecostal in me... hmmm... who knew!?
You scored as a Emergent/Postmodern

re: JB - the only thing that surprises me about your test results is that you're apparently as Classically Liberal as you are Fundamentalist. I would have thought otherwise.

OK here are the results of my quiz.Does this mean I need to find new friends and switch to a diffrent church?Ha Ha. Did I score where you would expect,as you know me? Thank you for the Quiz, Don
You scored as a Evangelical Holiness/Wesleyan
You are an evangelical in the Wesleyan tradition. You believe that God's grace enables you to choose to believe in him, even though you yourself are totally depraved. The gift of the Holy Spirit gives you assurance of your salvation, and he also enables you to live the life of obedience to which God has called us. You are influenced heavly by John Wesley and the Methodists.

re: Don - I'm not surprised at all by your high marks as both a Fundamentalist and Ev.Holiness. Most of your Fighting Fundy friends would be distraught by your 71% Neo-orthodox leanings, though! And, just as I suspected, there's a fair bit of emerging thought running around in your head! : )
Thanks for sharing, Don.
Anyone else?
